The location was a big plus, just 1-2 minutes from the MRT, and I’d happily return for the price, clean rooms, and security. Getting in was initially confusing because the lobby door needs a key card and a sign says to add the staff on LINE. They let us in right away, though. The front desk is staffed only from 9 am to 6 pm, so message ahead if you’ll arrive early or late or you could find yourself locked out. Our room was spotless, with a modern bathroom that looked newly renovated, plenty of daylight, a mini fridge, and very quiet AC. The mattress is firm, which suited us, though it may not suit someone who likes a soft bed. We could sometimes hear the water pipes or drains when neighbors showered. There’s free coffee and tea in the lobby whenever you want, though the tea wasn’t hot during our stay. Luggage storage is in an open spot beside the entrance, with no dedicated locked room. Since only guests with a room key can enter the lobby, it felt safe enough to us, but keep valuable belongings in mind. Overall, I’d recommend it, just coordinate your arrival time and bear these details in mind.

We spent six nights at Journey Town Inn and plan to come back for another three at the end of our month in Taiwan. It’s a small place, maybe around 10 rooms, with a welcoming, well-run feel, individually decorated rooms, and a shared area with a coffee machine guests can use around the clock. The location is wonderfully handy, only steps from Songjiang Nanjiang Metro Station, once you spot the sign. It’s small and easy to miss among all the other places in the building. Late arrival after 6 pm seemed a little daunting, but the instructions were so clear that it turned out easy. A great starting point for exploring Taipei.

The bathroom tiles and decor were my favorite part. We spent 3 nights here in Taipei, and I liked nearly everything, from the room and bathroom to the lobby, service, and location. The bedsheet could probably use an update, but otherwise it was just right. We’d stayed in another air BnB around the same price before, and this was much better. Glad we’ve found somewhere we’ll come back to.

We were able to come back to a safe, calm neighborhood after dark, and the metro is only a short walk away. We stayed as a family for 4 nights, and the staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the location very convenient. Major spots like Ximending and Raohe night market are a few stops away. They’re hectic, a bit too much for us, so it was nice to visit and then retreat back here. There are plenty of nearby places to eat, including hotpot, sushi, and Taiwanese food, with a few restaurants in the same building. On the back streets there are small stalls selling buns and pancakes. I enjoyed wandering around and snacking in the mornings. Try the area around Fu Ba Wang. The staff were very helpful with all kinds of requests, from food suggestions to arranging a car. They set up a driver for a day trip to Jiufen and surrounding.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful during my 3 nights at Journey Town Inn in November. There’s already a washing machine, and adding a dryer would make the place perfect. I appreciated my stay and will definitely come back next time I visit Taipei.
