The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean enough with a comfortable bed and a thermostat that worked well. For the price, it was okay, though not exceptional. The room was a bit small for two, and the bathroom window beside the shower was odd, even with its pull-down shade. The carpet looked worn or like it needed cleaning. Some towels were badly frayed and worn out, leaving a poor impression. Several MRT stations are about a ten-minute walk away, and Taipei Main is around 15 minutes on foot. Breakfast leaned toward Asian tastes, as you'd expect in Asia, but there were scrambled eggs and other choices too.

Breakfast was superb, with a different menu every day, and the rooms were very clean and quiet at night. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. During the typhoon holiday, they even gave us extra instant pot noodles at no charge. Thank you so much ❤️

James and Mary treated us like family, and the rest of the staff were just as helpful. They answered our questions, called ahead to check whether places were open, and even held an umbrella over us as they walked us to our taxi. Breakfast was fantastic, cappuccino included. We were sorry to leave after five nights and would definitely stay again. Great location and good value.

This is a late review, and as far as I remember, I have nothing but praise for Kodak Hotel Tianjin. We stayed there on July 24, 2024, the first day of Typhoon Carina, so all our plans were cancelled. The lovely room and comfortable beds helped make us feel better. The location was great, just a few meters from the subway and bus stations. On our way to the airport, the hotel called to say we'd left a mobile phone in the room. We couldn't go back, so I asked them to keep it for my friend, who was arriving the following week. They did, and my friend was able to collect it. Thank you, Kodak Hotel Tianjin.
