The polite, helpful front desk and clean amenities were among the few good parts of my six nights at KDM Hotel in Taipei. The stay was deeply disappointing. Mosquitoes in the room made it hard to sleep, and the management wouldn’t turn on the air conditioning even though it was 25°C indoors and very humid. When it was “enabled,” it only ran as a fan and wouldn’t cool the room below 24°C. That lack of care made what should have been a comfortable stay in Taiwan’s humid climate one of my worst hotel experiences. I’d give it 2 out of 5 stars. I hope they improve.

With MRT exit 3 nearby and escalators there, getting around all day by train is easy. I think this is a great pick for that kind of trip.

I tend to book this place whenever I'm in Taipei. The staff are so welcoming, and having a sink by the room entrance is handy.

A train station is right next door, which makes getting around simple, and the staff are friendly. The room's a little tight, but two people can manage.

The MRT exit is right beside the hotel, which is a big plus. Our three-bed room was clean, though fairly cramped, and having the washbasin in the room instead of the bathroom wasn't a very convenient setup.
