Morwing Hotel Fairy Tale

There are plenty of places for food and tea in the alleys, and the hotel is near Taipei main station. The staff were nice, and we could store our luggage. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet, though a little dated and not very spacious, which is normal in Taipei.

For a budget stay focused on location, it’s reasonable. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows smelled unpleasant and really need replacing. It works if you’ll be out all day and just want somewhere comfortable to sleep. Taipei Main Station is a short walk away, and Exit 3 avoids hauling luggage up or down stairs. Ximending takes about 10-15 minutes on foot. A bus stop just steps away goes directly to Taipei Zoo, which was very convenient. Given the price and location, it’s an okay choice if you care more about getting around than amenities.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean, with a comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and everything I needed. It was a good experience. The rooms look dated now, though, and could use updates or renovation to keep them feeling fresh and cleaner.

The hotel is in the broader downtown area, about a 12-minute walk from the main station. For Taipei, it was comparatively clean, though the price felt high, like hotels across the city. The rooms are small, with about 60 cm to 1 m of space around the bed, and the walls are painted in an interesting way. There’s a fridge, and reception has water, instant coffee, and hot water. The toilet doesn’t feel very private from the room.
