NK Hostel

Breakfast was really good, and there are handy things like luggage drop-off before check-in and storage after checkout. The fifth floor has the reception, common area, kitchen, smoking balcony, rooftop terrace, and three dormitories. The toilets on that floor are through the common area and reception, and there’s an elevator. Each pod comes with a light, a power outlet, and a USB port, plus a large assigned locker that fits a medium case and has two more outlets. Towels are provided. It’s a very professionally run hostel with a lot of the things I’ve appreciated in other hostels all together. The female dormitory is the largest of the three, so for a quieter sleeping environment, you might prefer one of the mixed dorms.

The location worked well for me because I was looking for food farther north, and Nanjing Sanmin station was still a short walk away. I had a room on the 15th floor with a really good panoramic mountain view toward Neihu and the airport, overlooking the bridge beside it. Service was better than at most hostels, too, since they have a 24H concierge.

A great place for a group of friends, since they offer dormitory rooms. The kitchen feels like a home kitchen, so it’s comfortable to use. The shower rooms and toilets were clean, too. It’s also near most of Taipei’s tourist spots, which makes this a great hostel.

Getting around and finding food was easy, with Songshan MRT Station only a few minutes away and Raohe Street Night Market nearby. The staff were helpful and communicated well in English. In the dorm at NK Hostel, each bunk had a curtain, personal light, power outlet, and locker, so even in a shared room it felt fairly private and secure. I slept comfortably, and the room stayed quiet at night. The shared bathrooms were consistently clean and well kept during my stay, with dependable hot water and basic toiletries provided. There’s a simple free breakfast, plus a relaxed common area for eating, working, or just taking a break. It wasn’t too busy or too empty. A solid budget choice if you want comfort, cleanliness, and a convenient location.
