O Fun Hotel

The staff were polite and helpful, and I appreciate how accommodating they were to us. The location was convenient, but the stay didn’t feel worth the price. Our room was a bit dusty and needed a better clean, which made it less comfortable. The facilities were basic, with nothing special to justify the rate. It’s okay for a short stay, though cleaner rooms and better pricing would make a big difference.

The room smelled bad and wasn’t really clean, with a lot of dirt around. On our third day I asked reception to clean it. They did clean when we got back, but they hadn’t done the whole restroom and didn’t replace the bath mat. They told me I had to point out the specific places to clean, but I think that’s common sense when you ask for the room to be made up. Very disappointed. I don’t recommend it for tourists.

The room is huge, but the noise from next door comes through very clearly. Their doorbell was so loud it sounded like it was in my own room. There are no toiletries provided, as expected, and there’s no common area or public toilet.

Bimen Station was my preferred option because it felt less crowded, and it’s the one I’d use for the train to Taoyuan Airport instead of Taipei Main Station. The hotel is close to XIMENTING, with Ximen, Bimen, and Taipei Main Station all walkable. My double deluxe room was roomy, especially the bathroom, and reception and housekeeping were very polite. Self check-in and checkout went smoothly, and I appreciated getting two door cards. The downsides were the noise, since I could hear almost everything from outside or next door, no daily room cleaning unless requested, and a somewhat messy reception lobby. I could ask to have towels changed.
