The breakfast had lots of different foods to choose from and was worth having. At check-in, the staff member was friendly and recognized my IHG platinum elite status. I also got a welcome drink and a very spacious room. This was my second stay, and I’d recommend the hotel and come back again.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best parts of our stay, with a good mix of choices. The staff there were professional, friendly, and attentive without hovering, and I really appreciated how clean everything was. Regent exceeded what I expected. The hotel is well kept, with great hospitality and amenities, and its central location made getting around easy. The service has consistently been up to a high standard, so this is my go-to place when I’m in Taipei.

We spent two nights at Regent for a short break. Sherry at the front desk gave us lots of food ideas nearby and explained everything clearly. We hadn’t been to TW in a long time, and her help, along with the friendly approach from the rest of the staff, made the stay smooth and enjoyable. I’d strongly recommend trying the puff and egg pudding in B2. I loved the interior design and the bathtub was great. The oolong tea in the room was lovely too. The one drawback was that the air conditioning on 20/F felt a bit weak for me, since I like a cooler room. The good points outweighed that.

Emily was attentive, friendly, and really accommodating of what we needed. The hotel had a beautiful giant Christmas tree. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a great view of the park and 101 in the distance. Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of local options and great variety, though it can get busy. The lobby and lifts were busy too.

The spa was a real treat. I used the steam room and dry sauna on the 20th floor for 30 minutes, then felt refreshed after a deep-tissue massage. I’m sorry I didn’t ask the masseur’s name. My Amex FHR perks also included welcome drinks and a US$150 spa credit. While I waited for my taxi, doorman Aryan Song kept me company with a nice conversation. Regent is right in the center of everything I wanted to explore as a first-time visitor to Taipei. Taxis, buses, and other public transport made getting around effortless. I also enjoyed the nearby underground shopping areas, where I found surprisingly good cakes and desserts. It could feel crowded with tourists, and sometimes the staff seemed stretched thin, but the stay was still wonderful.
