Wego Boutique Hotel Linsen

Breakfast was atrocious, and the noise in the early morning was awful. At 5:30am, another guest woke us with loud club music. We called the front desk, but nothing was done, and it kept going until about 7am. Our first room reeked of smoke. The only other room they had seemed okay, so we accepted it, but the stale smoke smell became obvious when sitting on the sofa or lying on the bed. That second room was also smaller and less nice than the one we’d booked and paid for. We complained about the smell and noise when leaving. They offered vouchers as an apology, but we declined. I have no intention of visiting again.

At Linsen Wego, which is newer than Dazhi Wego, the Superior Rooms are smaller and have a jacuzzi for one person. I also had trouble with the VOD audio disappearing, and had to reset the room by taking out and putting back the card key. The soundproofing wasn’t great either, since I could clearly hear the guest next door coughing.

The room decor still feels current, even though this motel has been serving Taipei for years. The receptionists were polite. It’s a nice downtown Taipei motel for bringing a partner to rest for a few hours or stay the night.

For the price, it’s a good deal. It’s an ideal place for couples, and if you’ve never tried a “love hotel,” you should give one a try. Some rooms have original designs too.
