The breakfast was lovely to look at and tasted good, and most of the staff spoke some English. It’s a fun, unusual experience, with the comforts and amenities of a high-quality hotel and a cyberpunk aesthetic. I just wish there had been a way to switch the games to English. Luckily, I already knew the ones I played.

There’s a strange mix of guests here. They rent rooms by the night and by the hour, so some people come to game while others use it like a love hotel. Breakfast isn’t free, but it’s inexpensive and quite good. The gaming computers in the lobby and rooms are the hotel’s special feature. We had a lot of technical problems at first and had to move rooms twice, but the supervisor was very accommodating. Guests in neighboring rooms seemed to disregard the no-smoking policy, which made my asthma worse the first night. They provided an air purifier, and that helped a lot.

A heaven for game lovers, with gaming facilities like those used in world competitions! It’s close to both the train station and a park. The facilities looked new and had all the necessary amenities, plus more. It’s one of the most comfortable hourly-rate hotels in Taiwan. If you stay more than 10 hours, the breakfast buffet includes local favorites.

I had a comfortable night’s sleep during my flight layover, and the 8-hour stay option fit my schedule perfectly. The room was small but enough for what I needed. I appreciated getting a wake-up call 15 minutes before my stay ended. The hotel is about 1 km on foot from both Zhongli night market and Huanbei train station, which goes directly to the airport without a transfer. There were two gaming computers in the room and plenty more in the lobby. It’d be a gamer’s heaven, though I’m not into computer games and can’t comment on how good the computers are.
