Aspire Resort

There’s a lot to do here, so arriving early seems like a good idea. The hotel has bicycle rentals, a temperature-controlled swimming pool, spa, gym, billiards, foosball, air hockey, and separate game console sections with PS4, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch. B1 also has shops ranging from a café to clothing, jewelry, and a salon, plus a convenient 7 Eleven. We had dinner at a café whose name was something like “1998…” but I can’t remember the full name. The owner had newspaper clippings about a world tour he and his wife took by bicycle. The food was acceptable, and I especially liked the lasagna. Breakfast was a letdown compared with the facilities: there was some local food, but it mostly seemed like things to go with congee or rice. Toast and bread were available, but there wasn’t much variety. The room was a good size but felt rather empty. The bed was fairly large, though still a little small for 2.5 people, and we used the couch for luggage. The portable heater made the room warm, but not warm enough for its size. The bathroom’s Japanese-style toilet seat had a warmer and water sprayer, which was nice in cold weather. We enjoyed the stay and would come again, but I’d book a larger bed and check in earlier to make more use of the facilities.

There’s plenty to keep young kids busy, and lots of park space nearby, with many different attractions close by too. We loved the place, and the restaurant was great. Fun for the whole family.

It’s a good place, and there are shops. The PS4 is near the basement, but it doesn’t have many games and there aren’t proper instructions.

A large shopping and recreation center. There’s a 7-11 inside, and it gets busy with lots of families on weekends and holidays.
