The food was a strong point: happy hour in the lounge had a very good selection, and breakfast in the main restaurant was good too. Terri at the front desk was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, and Clara in the lounge was great as well. I stayed five nights last week, and the rest of the staff were great too, which is why I’d come back despite the surroundings. My upgraded room was clean and fine, though the unusual daybed sofa took up a lot of space. A workstation would have been more useful. The hotel was generally quiet and everything felt crisp and clean. The free shuttle schedule didn’t work well for me, but taxis were plentiful and reasonably priced. I walked around the area quite a bit, including the park, and didn’t find it pretty. There were very few local shops nearby.

It’s away from the busy city, which makes this a good option if you need to stay near the main airport. The hotel provides free transport to and from the airport, and there’s a 7-11 right across the road. My room was spacious and clean, with really good water pressure. I also got to visit the lounge, which had a lovely range of food and drinks.

Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful, from the driver and front desk staff to the lounge servers Julia, Saya, and Aurelia, the breakfast team, and the pool staff. I was especially grateful to the lost and found staff, who went above and beyond to send my Lancome facial wash to Sheraton Grand Taipei. Thank you! I’d booked the shuttle on check-in day, not realizing it needed to be reserved the day before. I’d tried to send a request but had the wrong email address. Even so, the staff arranged a pickup from the airport for me, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and I’m glad I chose to spend a night there.

The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially after a tiring 14-hour flight. There’s a 7-11 and Family Mart across the street, both open 24/7, with microwave meals and microwaves available. I got noodles late at night, then a bao bun and coffee early in the morning. The hotel also has a Starbucks, but it didn’t open until 10AM on the day I left. Hot water dispensers by the elevators are handy for instant coffee, tea, or ramen. I stayed overnight while traveling from the States to Hong Kong because my arrival at TPE was too late to connect to HKG. The hotel is about a 10-minute Uber ride from the airport, around $10 USD, and the surrounding area feels industrial, with limited food options late at night. Restaurants I saw on Maps were closed, and the nearby night market only operated on weekends. The rooms are spacious but feel a bit stark, with laminate floors and no carpet; slippers are provided. I had two full or queen-sized beds, which were firm and comfortable, with crisp white sheets. I slept for a few hours before the time difference woke me at 4AM. The bathroom is huge and has Japanese-style warm-water bidet toilets. The shuttle was the main inconvenience. It runs on a schedule and has to be reserved in advance, so you need to estimate how long customs and baggage will take. There’s no roaming shuttle or airport phone to call the hotel from arrivals. I missed my booked pickup after getting through around 22:28 for a 22:20 bus, and took an Uber instead. I also needed to reserve the return shuttle, but the early morning buses were full, so I used Uber again to get back to the terminal.

The breakfast was phenomenal, with a wide range of choices, and the hotel was comfortable and conveniently about 10 minutes from the airport. Family Mart and 7-Eleven are right across the street, which was handy for a late snack during our 24-hour layover at Sheraton Taoyuan. The shuttle arrangement cost us a star. The email gave us the impression it would be a personal pickup with a staff member holding a sign, but it’s actually a scheduled bus. Our flight landed at 21:45 and pickup was set for 22:20. We reached the area around 22:28 after baggage and immigration, and the bus had already gone. Luckily, we took a taxi for about $10 and could pay by credit card. Comfortable and convenient overall, just pay attention to the shuttle timing.
