Blue Sky Motel

I've stayed here for work quite a few times and usually it's been good. On my last visit, though, the soy milk at breakfast was more like tofu pudding, the potstickers had a fermented smell, and I saw cockroaches in the bathroom. The surroundings and breakfast quality both need attention. I'm not totally put off and would come back, but I hope things improve.

We booked online for a very cheap rate, and the blankets were really comfortable. The facilities feel quite traditional, with two oddly shaped old-style chairs beside the room. It's fine if all you need is a bed and don't plan to shower. The jacuzzi is there, but you probably won't feel like using it.

It's become my relaxing little hideaway after many stays. The air conditioning and heating are a big plus. One small snag, the massage chair in room 305 seems broken: it reclines, but doesn't massage. 😅

When we checked in on November 15th, the front desk told us breakfast was all-you-can-eat. The next morning, when we tried to order, the restaurant lady said each person could only have one freshly made breakfast. Several people were there and heard her say it, so please check with staff before assuming guests misunderstood. We wondered why the two explanations didn't match. If the restaurant lady gave guests that answer, perhaps staff training needs work. The front desk shouldn't just repeat what she says without making sure the information is consistent. Also, there really was no milk or soy milk. I'm not sure if the lady hadn't put it out, but all we saw were foil-wrapped drinks and coffee.
