It felt like a real hostel, which is rare to find in Taiwan. Travelers from all sorts of backgrounds were hanging out in the cozy, lively common area, cooking, playing music, and sharing their travel stories. The staff were friendly, and guests seemed open to meeting each other. The place was clean and comfortable, with a convenience store about a three-minute walk away and the night market around five minutes away. I’d recommend it to anyone after a backpacking experience.

You won't get much privacy while sleeping, so keep that in mind. But town is right nearby, with food and drinks within walking distance and the pier close enough for a stroll. For the price, it’s a really good deal.

It was hygienic and cozy, and we had a lovely time. Very backpacker-friendly, and we met people from all over the country. Getting to Shuishe Tourist Centre, the town’s main bus stop, is a drawback if you’re using public transport. Also, most activities here start at 6am and wind down around 5pm.

The design is good and the location is very close to sum moon lake, but the water pump on the 3th floor is extremely noisy. Whenever someone uses the toilet, it starts up, and if noise wakes you easily, you won’t be able to sleep.

I met a lot of amazing people here and would definitely come back. The place is clean and comfortable, and it’s easy to reach from the main station on the lake shuffle bus. A great place to stay in Sun Moon Lake.
