The onsen was just what our sore muscles needed, and we slept well in the clean, comfortable rooms. We arrived as six cyclists after a 70 km day and Leo, the owner, welcomed us so warmly. This little hotel is tucked into peaceful mountains outside Yulli, and breakfast was a lovely traditional Taiwanese spread. Definitely worth stopping here if you're nearby.

The owner is devoted to helping people whose homes were damaged in the 2025 flooding disaster. Respect! We also loved the hot spring, the atmosphere, the view, and the tea tree oils. The owner and staff were thoughtful and welcoming, and breakfast was awesome.

Leo is such a hospitable host, happy to share what he knows and clearly passionate about preserving nature. This organic haven between Taitung and Hualien feels full of warmth and soul. I believe Hualien will keep getting better with his help.

We booked a basic room for our round-island bike trip, then took the upgrade and got a huge hot spring tub with a cold plunge beside it. Since the hotel is outside town, they also served us a lovely dinner and shared the owner's whiskey. We arrived hot and sweaty on our bikes and were looked after from the start. After checking the options in Yuli, we're really glad we chose New Life for the hot spring experience. The view was lovely too, highly recommended.

The staff, from the groundskeeper and housekeeper to the owner, made us feel right at home. The place has a relaxed but professional feel, and the breakfast was wonderful. The owner was also willing to adjust meals for dietary needs and preferences. You can soak in the hot spring in your room or use one of the larger private tubs in the courtyard. The charming boutique hotel also has one of the area's best hot spring sources, which is reason enough to come.
