I found what felt like my home in Zanzíbar at this Lodge 7 years ago. They looked after me and my dog Kizim, whom I adopted in Kizimkazi, and Ashlam, their son, became like a little brother to me. I still think of the nights by the fire with Simon, the masai Guy, telling stories about lions and the sounds of wildlife. I miss you all, and Kizim misses you too. Thanks so much.

A relaxed, cozy place about 100 meters from the beach. It’s in a fishing village that isn’t very touristy, so it’s great for unwinding. The food was delicious, with fresh fish every day, and they made vegetarian dishes for me too. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it.

Honestly, just go. It’s clean, safe, and super cozy, with a perfect breakfast and a really relaxed feel. The manager is the nicest, wisest man I’ve met, and would do anything to help you feel comfortable. He also organizes really good tours, including dolphins or safari. Best place to stay on the whole island.
