I stopped by the restaurant for tea. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, but the cutlery and serving items need replacing. My cup had rust on it, and the sugar bowl had no handle. They brought the hot water in a flask to keep it warm, I suppose, though I’d have preferred a teapot. The hotel grounds looked nice, with a swimming pool and a view of the lake.

The photos make the place seem much fancier than it really is. It’s pretty run down, though the staff are nice. The bed was decent and the shower was hot.

I only went to the restaurant, and the burgers were really tasty. The meal was fine apart from taking a very long time. They said they don’t cook everything from scratch, but I can’t see another good reason for the delay.
