Royal Wonders Hotel

I was part of a give-back and cultural-immersion tour group, and for what I saw, the place was absolutely perfect. My rating isn’t based on Western standards. RW is much nicer than how many TZ people live. The rooms were clean, with painted cement, tiled floors, and intact nets, though there weren’t any bugs anyway. The AC worked well. Wifi and electricity worked sometimes, and there was plenty of hot water if you took a quick shower at off times. The food was good, but order at least an hour ahead. That’s TZ, not just RW. If they don’t have something, you’re welcome to get it at the store and bring it back, haha. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean, and there are several places to sit among the gardens. The staff are super friendly and generous with their smiles. Special mention to Zack, always there with a high five, a “karibou,” and anything else I needed.

The garden was a lovely, peaceful place to relax, and the swimming pool was great for a refreshing dip. The staff really stood out, they were helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food was delicious and had plenty of variety. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I booked rooms and a training area for 10 days, and was very disappointed. The rooms weren’t cleaned every day, so I had to ask for housekeeping. I paid for the rooms by card, but at the end of the stay I was made to pay cash, which meant a huge ATM withdrawal fee. The manager promised to refund the transaction fees, but that never happened. I won’t recommend or use this place again.

The staff were very friendly, and the place was quiet. The clean rooms were good enough, with AC and a fan. The restaurant was open and ready to prepare meals, and breakfast was included.
