Umoja Lutheran Hostel

I paid 30K for a basic double. Everything is old fashioned, and the mattress needs replacing. The room had no AC, and the small, cheap mosquito net had holes. It was dusty when I arrived in the evening, and still dirty after room service the next day. It was also very warm inside, with mosquitoes. Noise was a major problem. In the early afternoon there was loud shouting from a religious meeting that went on until evening. From 1am to 2am there was noise from the jewish mosque, then construction outside from 3am into the morning. I had come hoping for more peace and less noise than elsewhere, so I left disappointed and moved across the street for just 5K more. There I got a nice, clean room with AC, a fan, and a mosquito net. There are small suites for 50K and family suites for 70K and 80K. Breakfast was small but okay, and the staff were friendly. Very disappointing experience!

We paid 50.000 Tsh for one night for four people. Breakfast was included, simple but good, and enough to leave us satisfied. The beds were comfortable and each had a mosquito net. The sanitary facilities were okay, with men's and women's showers and toilets together.

A nice hotel close to town, and I felt safe walking alone. The room service at mbugani hotel was the best. Thank you, bugani hotel. I'll recommend it to my friends and other people.
