What really sets Gold Zanzibar apart is the warm, generous service. One chef heard about my dietary restriction, showed me around the buffet, and invited me to ask directly for anything I'd like him to make. The chefs were phenomenal, and the buffet at the large, beautiful main restaurant was delicious. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Our room was spacious and very clean, though a little outdated. The beach was wide and clean, with warm, crystal-clear water. My husband and I had a wonderful stay, and I'd highly recommend it. Everyone was kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

Chef Paul and Chef Warren went out of their way to make dairy-free food for my daughter, and the meals were really delicious. Our butler, Jackline, was wonderful with my kids. The villa was very neat, and we had an amazing time at this hotel and its beautiful beach. The staff are excellent. I'd definitely recommend Gold Zanzibar.

The team made our 50th wedding celebration unforgettable. After management learned we'd booked a seaside dinner for the occasion, they surprised us with an upgrade to the resort's best villa, right on the oceanfront with a private pool. At dinner, the restaurant team sang and brought out a beautiful cake made especially for us. It was such a joyful, emotional moment. We also felt safe and looked after throughout our stay, even during the post-election period when there were concerns in the media. The hotel's security and professionalism helped us feel protected and relaxed. Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa was immaculate, with a wide stretch of white sand, clear water, and warm, attentive staff who were nearby without intruding. The food was fresh and full of flavor, and drinks could be served by the pool, on the beach, or on our villa terrace. We've traveled widely, but haven't experienced hospitality, generosity, and warmth like this elsewhere. For peace, thoughtful service, good food and drinks, and feeling cared for, we'd choose Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa again. We came to Zanzibar at the end of our honeymoon, after an incredible safari across Africa, hoping to unwind somewhere beautiful and intimate. Gold Zanzibar's facilities and spectacular beach were stunning, but the atmosphere felt livelier than we wanted. It's a fantastic resort, though it may suit people seeking a social, animated stay more than complete privacy. When we shared that with the staff, they responded quickly and kindly. Francesca, the relationship manager, understood our situation right away, spoke with us in our own language, and took care of all the details. Within a couple of hours, she had found us a wonderful alternative at another property in the same group that matched what we were looking for.
