The beach is only about 40 meters away, and it’s a lovely stretch of Nungwi. Hamad, the manager, was responsive when we raised the problems, and after our first night he moved us to a better room. The staff were kind and did what they could to help, even with limited English. We stayed four nights, though we nearly left the first night. The rooms don’t ventilate well. The bathroom screens are blocked behind, so no air gets through, and our first room was very hot and smelled strongly of mildew. Air conditioning and the ceiling fan helped while the power was on, but during a couple of evening outages the room became unbearably hot. The toilet barely flushed at first and stopped working altogether by that first night. The Wi-Fi never worked during our stay. One towel had what looked like fresh blood stains. The restaurant was closed the whole time apart from breakfast, and breakfast seemed to run out of one more item each day. In room 4, termites were eating the bathroom door and making trails and tunnels in the bathroom walls and ceiling.

We had dinner here twice, and the seafood was a real highlight. The starter with avocado and mango salad was so good, as was the seafood platter for two. The staff were warm and attentive, which made both meals feel special.

Leticia and Ahmed made us feel at home, and the food was a big part of why I loved La Neisha Hotel in Nungwi. Leticia is welcoming to everyone, always kind and smiling, while Ahmed is friendly and ready to help, whether you need assistance, recommendations, or just a chat. The meals were delicious, from fresh seafood and local dishes to a hearty breakfast. There’s a relaxing setting with lovely views, and the food has a real taste of Zanzibar. If you’re after good food and warm hospitality in Nungwi, La Neisha Hotel is a great choice.

Leticia cooks delicious food, and Ahmed is so kind and ready to help with anything you need. The place has lovely energy and is just a few meters from the beach. I recommend it, one of the best places in nungwi !

The atmosphere was just right for a relaxed evening, and the service was friendly and attentive. I had a great meal at La Neisha: everything was fresh, full of flavor, and nicely presented. A welcoming spot for a delicious meal, highly recommend.
