The beachfront location is beautiful, with shops and other restaurants close by. We felt at home here because the owner and staff were so friendly and treated us like family. It has an authentic atmosphere, and the food is delicious, with plenty of choice at very reasonable prices. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but we were on holiday, after all.

We were pleasantly surprised to see dikdiks and guinea fowl wandering freely around the property. The guinea fowl are really loud in the morning and will wake you up, though. The Wi-Fi was tricky to connect to, and the electricity cuts happened often, but they were short. The owner was lovely and gave us wine and coffee for free as we left 😊

I don’t recommend this place. We’re two young women and felt we were scammed. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, and we were charged an extra $15 because we wanted to pay in TZS, the Tanzanian currency, but were required to pay in dollars. Our clothes were also thrown away because someone apparently thought they were in a trash can. It didn’t look like one, and there were two actual trash cans in the room. Nothing was done about it. There were also exorbitant fees, and the only positive was that most of the staff were friendly. The view is only there if you pay a lot!

I first ate at the restaurant, then decided to stay at the property from the next day. The rooms were lovely, with a beach view, and you can access the beach right from the property. There are nice places to sit facing the beach and sunbeds as well. Mr. Sele was wonderful to talk to and cooked us some great food. He’s well travelled, so we had an interesting conversation. I had an amazing experience.

We had a lovely week with the family. Rasta, the owner, made us feel right at home, and the food was really good. The beach is just below you.
