Nungwi Dreams by Mantis

We had three idyllic days here, and the whole experience was wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable, the team was exceptionally friendly, and the food was excellent. Heartfelt thanks to everyone, especially Jason, Richard, Saba, Victor (Restaurant), and Victor (Reception), among others. Keep up the great work. We look forward to coming back soon.

My mom and I spent more than a week here and really enjoyed our vacation. The rooms were very clean, with room service every day, and the food was so good and served in big portions. Victor, Mumanyi, and the rest of the staff were very friendly and gave exceptional customer service. I can attest that the hotel and its service are top notch, and I'd recommend it to everyone.

The front desk staff and waiters were pleasant and welcoming, but I was shocked by the manager's unprofessional behavior on our checkout day. There was an issue with a guest, and he barged in yelling at the front desk staff while other guests were nearby. I expected more from a hotel owned by an international brand, and I was relieved we'd booked other places ahead of the trip. Nungwi Dreams is, mildly put, a three-star hotel pretending to be a five-star resort. The food was terrible: bland, lacking variety, overcooked, and often drenched in oil. Some garden areas were unkempt, with overgrown weeds. Attention to detail was lacking. One guest's room-service tray sat across from us for 12 hours, and our own tray and plates weren't cleared until checkout. Our room wasn't cleaned until well into the day, which made the hotel seem understaffed in that area. On one occasion, the bartender gave me two visibly dirty glasses.

We had a beautiful view and direct access to the beach from our perfect room. The staff were outstanding, and there was entertainment by the pool each night with a pleasant evening breeze. The gym is small but well enough equipped for a vacation workout. The food selection at both breakfast and dinner could be bigger. Also, there was no telecom reception coverage at the property, though that may improve over time. Special thanks to the helpful reception team and the bar staff, especially Vincent.
