The staff did everything they could to keep us comfortable and provide what we needed, and the housekeeping was fantastic. There was a good variety of food, the place was always clean and the linen changed daily. Our room was large, and the hotel made a perfect beach getaway. We’re very pleased and grateful we spent our time here.

There’s no swimming pool, and the ocean tide stays out for a long time on most days. The bed was quite hard, too. Still, this is a tiny, cosy hotel with friendly staff. You can get simple food at any time, though I wouldn’t recommend the shrimp, crab or beef. It was fairly clean by their standards.

Wear closed shoes, especially since it gets extremely hot and there are huge ants and bugs around. The visit was basically a walk through the plantation to see the spices and fruit growing there. There was fruit tasting and entertainment, which were nice bonuses, but the spice prices were hugely inflated. I’d definitely recommend going.

The beach is lovely, but the seafood was overcooked. The room AC didn’t work, the water was turned off twice a day, and there was no cleaning for four days. I guess they only clean if you ask.

When other popular places nearby are booked, this is a good spot to stay. I enjoyed my time at Silver Sand. The rooms are decent and affordable, the staff are really friendly, and breakfast was a blast.
