Mike's Beach Cottages

Mike was so helpful and friendly, and even arranged our trip to Zanzibar on a local boat. The staff were just as welcoming. We had a really nice stay at Mike’s, especially at the beachside restaurant, where you can have a drink, look out over the ocean, and watch local young people playing football on the sand.

I had one of the best experiences of my life here. The cottages look out over a breathtaking stretch of sea, and the resort is so calm and relaxing. Mike knows the local reefs and sea inside out, and has loads of fishing experience. Go fishing with him and you'll catch something, guaranteed! Everyone on the staff was welcoming, professional, and smiling. It felt like home.

The food at the bar and restaurant is the best we had in Tansania, and the prices are reasonable. It has a lovely traditional wooden feel, and the seafood is especially good, fresh from local fishers. Mike is a wonderful host and can take you snorkeling, fishing, or to a nearby national park. The place is right on the beach and incredibly relaxing, so if you're staying at Ushongo Beach, definitely check out Mike's place.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the food was delicious, with a great taste of local cuisine. Each morning, you can see the sunrise from these beachside cottages, and it's picturesque. Such an amazing stay. I'll come back here when I visit Pangani again!
