Ahlam was incredibly helpful. She picked us up from the ferry, arranged a transfer to Pair for a really good price, and went out of her way to get my friend's phone back after he accidentally left it in the taxi. The breakfast was delicious, generous, and had good variety. We were hesitant about trying the local food at first, but it was fantastic. This is a quaint budget place tucked into the maze of Stone Town. Our room was large, clean, air-conditioned, and had a fan. No views, but that was fine. The bed was very big and firm, and the shared bathroom was clean with hot water. I can recommend it.

We were overbooked, and after two hours of discussion they finally refunded the room cost. Thanks for wasting our holiday time. Also, the “hotel” is hard to find: it's down a little street with no hotel sign, and the reception entrance is just a small door. If you need a place to sleep, go somewhere else, because you won't find a room here.
