We just walked in and were glad we did. I really enjoyed the coffee in the morning, made with care. After that, we booked dinner on the rooftop, which has a great harbour view and seems especially nice at sunset. The seafood was very fresh, and the small plates were more than enough if you’re not especially hungry. Recommended!

The design is great, and the staff are what make this hotel so good. Breakfast, coffee, drinks, and the food in general were all great. A brilliantly run hotel in Stone Town that would work in any city.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Neela Boutique for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time. The room was spacious and comfortable, and they’d decorated it beautifully for our arrival. We also had an excellent meal at the restaurant. Zaina was engaging and lovely to chat with.

The team made our honeymoon such a wonderful stay. Everyone on staff played a part, and the hotel is run by real professionals. The food was an experience in itself, and the bed may be the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept in. We honestly didn’t want to leave. The Neela is an astonishing place, and I’m hugely grateful to everyone. Highly recommended!

What made the stay special for me was the staff. When we needed help exchanging Japanese yen and arranging a late checkout, they were thoughtful and sincere, and took time to work through possible solutions with us. The hotel itself was new, clean, and comfortable throughout. I especially loved relaxing on the rooftop and looking out at the blue sky and ocean. I’d confidently recommend it to anyone staying in Zanzibar, and would definitely come back.
