Hotel Desatka

The staff were lovely, and the rooms were clean and warm. The location is quiet and cozy, close to a river and not far from "Zaroslyak", where you can start a hike, though the road on the other side is really bad. You can make kebab on the property, but there are only a few outdoor tables. Parking is available in the yard, which fits around 8-10 cars. The bathroom needs attention: the door won’t close and the bowl feels loose, like it might break. It would also be good if towels were changed and more toilet paper supplied without having to ask. If management makes these small improvements, I’d book again.

After hiking to Hoverla, I wanted somewhere to unwind, but it was already late. I knew how good the food at Desyatka was, so I carried on with my evening there in the kolyba, eating delicious banosh and having wine. There’s a special atmosphere at Desyatka, and I think everyone who’s stayed there has felt it. I recommend spending at least one night and enjoying the service.

We paid 2500 for a room for four. It was clean, with crisp white bedding, and the beds were soft and comfortable. The hotel is in a handy spot for heading into the mountains. Still, the service could be better. Nobody came to clean during our two days, and they don’t provide disposable toiletries such as soap, shampoo, shower gel, or slippers. Sound insulation is poor, so at 5-6 in the morning you can clearly hear neighbors walking and banging around. The shower pressure kept going from strong to weak. For a room meant for four, I think they should provide at least two keys, since I always had to go places together with someone. The hotel isn’t bad, but there’s room for improvement.

A good place to spend the night, with clean, pleasant rooms. It’s close to the national park entrance and the road to Hoverla, and I came away with a good impression.
