7 Sky Hotel Klinicheskaya Street

It took me a while to find the place, but once you're there it's nice. 7sky has friendly people, a good view, and a full mini-bar, and breakfast is served in your room. The price is okay. It's a long way from the city centre, though you know that in advance. I usually don't return to the same hotel, but I'll come again. :)

The location is the main reason I'd give this place three stars. It's reasonably priced, not too upscale, and the rooms are tidy and clean. The staff are welcoming and the front desk is open 24/7. The hotel is on the 17th floor, while the elevator only goes to 14. If you're a small woman with a few 30kg suitcases, you may end up stuck by the elevator.

The breakfast comes from four choices, but there's not enough food and they don't bring everything you ordered. They also charged extra for coffee I thought was free. They don't speak a word of English. This feels like a set of rooms, not a hotel: there isn't even a sign outside, so you have to ask around. It's on the 17th floor, but the elevator only reaches 14, leaving three floors to climb on foot. Not wheelchair friendly.

The rooms are on the technical 17th floor of a residential building, split into two parts, and there are two entrances, so make sure you find the right one. There's no sign on the building. The elevator stops at 14, then you have to climb three floors on a dark, narrow staircase. It's not suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, or heavy luggage. The location is far from the city center, the room fridge is really noisy, and the staff don't speak English at all.
