They kicked me out in the middle of the night, even though I’d paid in full, and gave my spot to a Ukrainian man because I’m a black person. The receptionist threatened to call the Police if I didn’t comply. I was tired from work and too weak to get into a confrontation. Very racist establishment. Shame on them!

A really cool spot.

Affordable and handy.

The staff were courteous, and hot water was available. We could also ask for an iron. For two nights, the double room cost 720 UAH, and the location worked well, with Lukyanivska metro station, McDonald's, and Puzata Khata nearby. We ate breakfast at Puzata Khata; it was filling and inexpensive, so I recommend it. We were in Kyiv for three days to unwind, and the Domino suited us for sleeping between outings. We'd head out in the morning, return around midnight, and go straight to bed. The room itself was fine for that. There were some drawbacks. The online photos looked quite different from the actual place and seemed badly out of date. In the shower, the transparent curtains and worn trays were an issue, and there was just one loop for hanging things. Arrivals had to be before midnight, which cut into enjoying Kyiv at night. Also, the wiring seemed problematic: the socket crackled and the lamp flickered.
