The rules were a problem, especially having to be back before 1 a.m. or risk not being let in. The receptionists weren’t very friendly and spoke very little English. The hostel is also badly set up for privacy: the walls stop short of the ceiling, so you can hear everyone, even people speaking quietly, and they can hear you. At night, I could hear people snoring in other rooms. There are only two toilets and showers for the whole hostel, which isn’t enough, and the showers were in poor condition with water temperature controls that didn’t work properly. I wouldn’t stay again even for free.

At least the place was pretty clean. Inside it was noisy, you weren’t allowed to lock your room door, and there were too many rules with fines attached.

It’s awful. The smell is so distinctive, and the person answering the phone can barely put two words together. They quote one price at first, then when you arrive it turns into something like 5,000 for the next month. For that amount you could rent a separate room. Just awful.

I’m writing to document what happened at your hostel on 21.06.25. During the nighttime air raid alert, I left the premises to get to safety. Once the alert ended, I returned, but the door was locked and the administrator didn’t answer my calls. I had to wait outside at night for over 40 minutes until someone else opened the door. That put me in physical and emotional danger. Please explain why the administrator didn’t let me back in after the alert, whether there are official rules that allow residents to be denied entry at night, and what you’ll do to prevent this from happening again.
