Hotel Bee Station - Hostel

This hostel takes up most of the top floor of a shopping centre, and it’s huge, clean, and fresh. There are two kitchens, loads of places to sit, sockets everywhere, and lockers for each bed. It has most of what you’d want from a hostel, and it’s super cheap. The water was only lukewarm, which wasn’t a big deal in July, but I wouldn’t want that in January, so I hope it gets fixed. The location is far from the city centre and away from the metro. The main bus, 104, was packed every time I used it. A better location would probably cost more, so it depends what matters most to you.

There’s a warm, friendly feel here, with two small kitchens for cooking and a balcony for smokers. The beds are comfortable, and the TV, air conditioning, and shower made the stay comfortable. This was my first time in a place like this. They have hotel rooms as well as hostel rooms with about 8-10 people. Heavy luggage is a problem, since it’s on the 4th floor and there’s no elevator, lift, or even a ramp.

I wouldn’t recommend this hostel at all. I felt the area was troubled, and I said Russian mafia controlled the hostel and neighborhood. One Russian guest nearly beat up another customer, but management said it always happens and did nothing. Later a Russian couple stole another customer’s belongings, and management again did nothing. Don’t come here.

It’s a comfortable hostel with dorms, private rooms, capsules, a common area, kitchen, separate smoking spot, laundry, and food service. You can order tasty food at reception, and the staff speak English. They clean daily. It’s a good budget option and easy to reach, though a little outside the centre, with connecting transport available.
