I visited a few years ago and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was perfectly located, close to everything. I wish I'd taken pictures, because the architecture and design were really unique.

Total nightmare, and way overpriced. The room was very dirty, dated, and felt straight out of the Soviet era with no updates. As a non-smoker, I found it thick with secondhand smoke. There are much nicer hotels for half the price. Be careful booking online, since the pictures don't match what's there. See the room before paying.

The restaurant was good, with tasty food and a nice range of breakfast options. I'd give it five stars. The room on the 15th floor, though, was disgusting, and the bathroom was even worse. They said there weren't any better rooms available, and it didn't look like the pictures on Booking. com. There was also a strong chemical smell, so I had to leave the balcony door open. I assume it was from cleaning products, but it stank. The feather pillows smelled too. My stay at this hotel was a bad experience, and the room gets one star.

At least the bed sheets were clean. But the windows were shut with duct tape, and the rug was so nasty I couldn't walk around without shoes. It might have been a four-star hotel in the 60s, but the painter and cleaning lady don't seem to have been there since. Those good reviews must be bots. There's just no way this is a 4 star hotel.

The location was good, the views were great, and the staff spoke English. The cleaners also respected the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. It was cheap. The room was cold, with a poorly insulated balcony door, and the fridge was so noisy I had to unplug it. There was no room phone, and the bathroom felt outdated and Soviet-style. Breakfast was all cold, and the TV only had a few Ukrainian channels, with no international options like BBC World News.
