I had a backup place to go, thankfully, because the room I found on arrival was nothing like the photos or booking details. I'd booked online for an eight-bed women's dorm, shown as a spacious room with the bunks about half a meter apart. Instead, the beds had been pushed together, and men were staying in the women's dorm. With no space between the beds, I might have ended up sleeping beside a man. The hostel was also very dirty. I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially if you're a woman.

We couldn't sleep because the other guests were so noisy. By 2 am we had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. The hostel was very dirty too. Don't make the same mistake and stay here.

I was grateful the hosts let me in when I arrived around 2 am. I'd booked through Booking.com just before heading over, and thought no one would answer the door at that hour. The price is very low, probably the cheapest in Kyiv, but the conditions were terrible, maybe the worst place I've stayed. Cheap and rough.

There was no kitchen or water, the ceiling leaked, and the beds were covered with rags. Cockroaches were crawling around, and the apartment was packed with Indian guests. The place was completely unsanitary, impossible to live or sleep in.
