The rooms are decent and clean, though a little damp, and they have heating so you won't freeze. The wiring is old: someone using the kitchen kettle can make one lamp go out, and the microwave might cut the lights to the whole building. The water is the bigger issue. Slavutich base got a private well recently, but its poor location means the water has a lot of iron. The taps and sinks rusted quickly, and the water smells unbearable. Luckily, there's a filter in the kitchen. The rooms are okay, but the plumbing is spartan. There are plenty of sports fields and rowing booms, so it could work for sports camps, but it's no good for a holiday. It's an average place to stay, though one of the best in Trukhanov. P.S. There's a wonderful sauna.
The water is clean and clear close to shore, but cool, with springs flowing there. Getting in is easy, with sand and a boom, though the beach itself is small. The base is from Soviet times, but now there's a modern building with a sauna and river access, plus cabins with amenities. The grounds are gated and there's parking.
Hot water was available, and both the shower and toilet worked. The rooms were clean. I'd have given it five stars if it weren't for the little mouse living under the shower.
A good place to train)
