Hostel Del Pozitiff

The interior feels really cozy.

We had an awful stay and strongly advise against this place. Our room was clean, but stuffy with no air, and its windows looked out onto the stairwell. It hadn’t been cleaned for us and there were no fresh towels. The TV didn’t work, the shower was broken, and the dirty, stuffy bathrooms had water on the floor and nowhere to put your things. The hostel is on the fifth floor with no elevator. Sleeping was impossible: we heard everything in the stairwell, including drunk people running up and down, and the stairs creaked terribly. The reception is right next door, so guests and their suitcases made noise in the middle of the night. At dawn the sun shone in our eyes. We’ve never felt so bad after a night without proper rest.

It’s a pretty, cozy place, and the little kitchenette has tea, cups and what you need. You can even hear the kettle bubbling from there, so the soundproofing really isn’t good. Despite the romantic lighting, I wouldn’t pick it for a young couple. Still, the price is fair.

For me, having to climb the stairs to the fourth floor, if I remember right, isn’t an issue. People make too much of that, and I think most healthy, normal people would be fine with it. The location is convenient, right by "Kryivka". Staff are nice, the rooms are clean and warm in winter, and the bathroom was clean too, my wife checked. Prices are quite reasonable. Probably the best hostel in Lviv. I recommend it.
