Not good.

Fine for an overnight stay.

We stayed in August 2025 and felt very comfortable. The staff made it feel almost like visiting good relatives. Towels were replaced daily, the room was cleaned, and everything was tidy. There were a few mosquitoes in the forest, so bring repellent; Raptor helped us. The hotel is in a quiet, scenic area with well-kept grounds. The pool was clean and warm, around 29-30 degrees, and there’s also an indoor pool for rainy weather. Sun loungers are by the pool, and the kids had a great time swimming. Just note that the pool is drained and cleaned on Mondays, so it doesn’t operate then. Breakfast was filling, with large portions. You can eat in the hall by the panoramic window, with a mountain view, or outside by the cafe. For activities, there’s table tennis and a swing for children. We booked the wood-fired bathhouse with its pool for two hours and recommend it. Schönborn Castle is nearby, though getting there means climbing over cobblestones. This summer, children from other hotels held discos near the castle, and ours went too. There are two cafes there for lunch or dinner, plus a morning market that runs until around 3:00 PM. It had souvenirs, pine jam, teas, and treats for kids, but we didn’t see fruit or other food products. The reception can help arrange excursions. This was just the place to rest our souls from sirens and the internet. The administration and staff created a really welcoming atmosphere. They also arranged a transfer to the train station when we left.

I came across this place by chance on Google Maps, read the reviews, and chose "Troyanda Karpat" for a family holiday. Glad we did, everything was great and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. There’s a large, well-kept area, a heated indoor pool with access to loungers and umbrellas, and breakfast is included. Towels were changed and the room cleaned every day. You can play table tennis, volleyball, or board games, and there’s a sauna too. Special thanks for welcoming us with our poodle. Schönborn Castle and its park are an easy walk away. Mosquitoes were a nuisance at the end of August, so it’s a good idea to bring repellent. :)
