Duet

Our room had a balcony and two separate spaces. One had a sofa and TV; the other had a double bed and an air conditioner that only worked as a fan, apparently for show. The room felt like a four-star, while the bathroom was more like three-star. For 550 UAH, I thought it was worth the price. Hot water was available around the clock, and there was guarded parking behind a gate for an extra 20 UAH. The mosquitoes were awful and there were no screens, but repellent helped.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was good. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with a double bed in one room and a cozy sofa in the other. There’s air conditioning, a TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, and balcony, plus a bathroom with a bathtub, bidet, sink, and toilet. They also provide a hairdryer, disposable shampoo and shower gel, and towels. A shared lounge area has lockers and a refrigerator.

It’s a handy hotel for a stopover. There are cafes and shops within a 10-minute walk, and the railway station is about 15 minutes away on foot. We were allowed into our room around noon instead of the usual 2 p.m., which suited us well. The friendly receptionist checked us in quickly and explained the hotel rules. Our spacious Standard room was on the second floor and had a balcony, lounge area, and bathroom. It came with free Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, hairdryer, towels, shampoo, shower gel, TV, and a coat hanger. You can borrow an iron if needed, return to the hotel at any hour, and leave your belongings there on checkout day. We stayed in April. 😉

The room was spacious, and you can get a double room for what two hostel beds cost. But forget the pool and sauna, they only appear in the photos. The room smelled musty, and the staff seemed to be working under duress, like they were being punished.
