The food was delicious on both of our visits to Gril Hotel, but the second one left us very frustrated. The first time, the menu prices were followed. Two days later, my husband and I ordered the same dishes we'd had with my parents and were charged 7,500 UGX more per plate. Staff said the prices had changed, but the menu still showed the old amounts. We pointed that out, and no one would listen or admit there'd been a mistake. What should have been another nice meal turned into a disappointing experience. The hotel fell short on consistency, transparency, and basic customer service. Until this is addressed, I can't recommend Gril Hotel.

Grik Hotel is conveniently close to Entebbe Airport, but it still has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The location worked well whether arriving late or leaving early. My partner and I felt at home as soon as we arrived, thanks to staff who were friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. The food was incredible, with flavorful, beautifully presented dishes made with care and fresh, high quality ingredients, and there was something for different tastes. The facilities were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, making a nice retreat after a long day. We had a wonderful stay, and I’ll definitely return on my next trip to Uganda.

The internet needs some work. It was strong in other corners of the hotel, but in our room it was very weak and kept disappearing. They promised to work on it, so I’m looking forward to our next stay. Grik Hotel is beautiful and well furnished, and there’s even a view of the Lake from the Top Flow. The staff respond quickly, and you just need to call Reception if you need anything.

It was advertised as 5*, but after we got to our room we rebooked with 2 Friends Hotel, which was fabulous. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The standard is very high, and the staff are sweet and helpful. Even though it’s close to the airport, you can’t hear the planes 😊.
