Hotel Diplomate was in a convenient spot for getting to nearby attractions and essential services. I found the common areas clean and nicely decorated, and the restaurant had a good choice of meals with excellent food. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh options for different tastes. My room was spacious, clean, and well organized, with fresh towels and linens. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet and well ventilated, making it easy to rest or work. Housekeeping kept it clean each day. The staff made the stay feel welcoming from the start. Check-in was smooth, and the reception team was friendly, professional, and ready to help with questions or requests. I felt well looked after throughout, and would gladly stay at Hotel Diplomate again. I recommend it for a comfortable, relaxing stay with good service.

The one nice thing was the sweet Kampala view 😊. Otherwise, customer care was weak and hygiene was poor, especially for how much they charge for a night. There was no food and no snacks. What you see here isn't what you get.

From the high hill, you get a spectacular view across all of Kampala, and people often come for that. The food was very nice too, especially with drinks. We visited several times while we were in Kampala. Proud of Kampala, Uganda, it's a very, very nice place to visit and enjoy.

The hilltop view is amazing, though getting up there means a hard climb. The viewpoint could use better maintenance, but the bar area is good. The location is nice, just don't expect a particularly luxurious feel.
