A quiet garden and quirky upcycled artwork make this place a fun little oasis in the city. The staff are welcoming and the rooms are decent, though they’re a bit expensive by local standards.

The bungalows sit in a lovely garden, which you can enjoy from the balcony or terrace. The rooms are spacious and colorful, with good mattresses. It’s a very nice hotel, and the manager is friendly.

The gardens and cottages have lovely views, with birds singing around them, and the craft shop displays work by local artisans. There’s also a fully stocked bar, a nice place to unwind after a day out. Mondi Lodge is well placed for the gorilla tracking starting point and mountain trails, and the food at Stoney Restaurant was delicious, with generous servings and attentive service. I liked the open kitchen, and the staff were happy to work with dietary requests. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with great mountain views. From the moment I arrived, the welcoming staff made me feel at home, and their kindness and care made the stay special. A peaceful and adventurous place in Kisoro, I’d happily return.

The garden was beautiful, and our rooms were clean, spacious, and colorful. The warm staff were always ready to help, and we have such lovely memories of them. We even went on a wonderful hike with them. We had a great stay at Mondi Lodge.

We were there with friends over the weekend of Nov 24-26th, 2023 and enjoyed our stay. It’s a cozy little lodge in a great spot in Kisoro town, with welcoming, warm staff. Good value for money, anytime.
