The pub had a cosy feel, and our meal there was excellent and reasonably priced. We also had a top-notch suite with stunning views of the Aberdovey coastline, and the service throughout was excellent. Sion was especially welcoming and knew so much about the hotel and the surrounding area. We had a brilliant stay at the Penhelig Arms and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Aberdovey. We felt so welcome thanks to the friendly, helpful staff, who couldn’t do enough for us. The food was amazing, and there was nothing we could fault. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area. Keep up the good work!

The sea view from the suites was stunning, and I’ll be back. I loved having a secure private entrance, and our suite had its own allocated parking close by, even though there’s no parking for the pub or hotel. Inside, it was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. The room was very warm, though it had been a very mild weekend.

The food was the weak point. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were among the worst pub meals I’ve had, as if whoever made them wasn’t really bothered. I’d stay again, but only if I could book the room without meals. The room itself was large and clean, with lovely views over the estuary, and the traditional bar welcomes dogs.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I had a very nice burger and chips. It’s a lovely pub and hotel with a great view across the estuary, and the stay was good value. Many thanks, everyone. I’d definitely come back.
