We'd never eaten here before, but we'll definitely come back. My wife and I had a wonderful lunch, with first class food and service. I had lovely place fillet, though the highlight was my beef starter with an amazing salsa. Mint and all sorts of other flavours made it sound a bit odd, but it tasted great. We loved the whole meal. Thanks.

We've stayed at The Brudenell twice and are already planning another visit. Our room was cosy, nicely furnished and had great views, with thoughtful details like different lighting options in the bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful without hovering. Being right on the beach means you can hear the waves. It's our favourite hotel in the U.K.

We came for dinner and liked it so much that we asked about staying another time. The receptionist showed us three room standards, offered tips on what to book and told us about vouchers for future stays. At dinner, the waitress, who was coeliac herself, carefully explained the menu for my husband, who is gluten and lactose intolerant. We both enjoyed everything enough to manage three courses. My prawn tian looked beautiful and tasted delicious, the monkfish was perfectly cooked, and I finished with tiramisu. The service at the table was excellent. We'll be back. Thank you, and well done.

We'd wondered after earlier visits whether the long drive to The Brudenell was still worth it. This time, Joshua and his team made sure we'll return in 2026. It was our first visit since Joshua became Duty Manager, and the atmosphere felt transformed. He was around and ready to help from before breakfast until after we'd gone to bed. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and he treated problems as chances to help guests, making quick, positive decisions. The staff were cheerful and easy to find whenever we needed something. Our refurbished bedroom was very clean, which we appreciated after some previous experiences. The ground floor public areas are scrupulously clean, though they look a bit tired and could use the same kind of refurbishment. Breakfast was plentiful, with cheerful staff close by. We also had dinner at the Seafood & Grill restaurant, where the Day Boat Fish special, lemon sole, was a particular treat.
