We stayed on 24/10/2025 for our 15th wedding anniversary, and the room was stunning. The staff were so welcoming, especially Meghan on reception. She really seemed to be the face of the hotel: whenever you need help or information, reception is where you go, and her enthusiasm was infectious. She wished us goodnight when we turned in and was back to say good morning as we came down for breakfast. I don’t know the wage structure, but this little diamond needs to be tied down. I told my wife that if I ran a hotel and visited here, I’d move heaven and earth to get Meghan working for me. The only sour note was paying nearly £150 for the night, then another £7 to park in their car park. I’d rather they included the £7 in the room price and told me parking was free. Still, we can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

We’ve stayed at Mercure Hotel several times and never had any problems or concerns. The staff are friendly, welcoming and really helpful. They’re understanding about my oldest son’s autism, which makes our holidays special. It’s one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Thank you all!

After reading some reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect on my return, as I hadn’t stayed here for about ten years. I was pleasantly surprised: the three of us each had our own room, and breakfast was fine too. The reception team in particular were friendly and helpful. I’d stay again and definitely recommend it.

After countless months staying here for work, the staff have started to feel like our second family. They’re always smiling, welcoming and ready to help with anything you need. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there’s a restaurant and bar on site. The hotel is central to Ayr town centre, close to restaurants, bars and shopping. I highly recommend it.

The room had plenty of space and was comfortable, with the essentials covered, including toiletries and hot drink options. It’s right in the town centre and has a nice little car park. Great value for the money. I’d definitely come back next time we’re in the area.
