At breakfast, we looked out over the Dale and watched the snow, with pots of tea and a great cooked breakfast. We were never rushed. The bedroom and shower room were modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. From the minute we arrived, everyone made us feel like part of the family. We enjoyed great ale and delicious food in a lively atmosphere, with locals enjoying the evening just as you’d hope in a pub or bar. We’d recommend this hotel to family and friends for a stay or a meal. Thank you, everyone at Lathkill. We can’t wait to come back.

We ducked in last Friday evening to get out of the horizontal sleet and were well looked after with decent ale by the log burner. Came back for a delicious, huge Sunday lunch and loved it. Dogs are welcome in the bar. Can’t fault the place. Book ahead for meals.

We went to Lathkill Hotel on Saturday 6th December for the Christmas menu. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the service was very good. The scotch egg starter was amazing, the turkey dinner was delicious with a great selection of food, and the Christmas pudding was really yummy. We all left absolutely stuffed. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely visit again.

A peaceful, friendly hotel in the countryside, with walking paths nearby and a cozy pub on site. We stayed over a weekend in July and really enjoyed it. Breakfasts were nice, and the pub burgers were satisfying too. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the service was professional. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone who likes a countryside stay.

The food was excellent and the location was great. Our bedroom was very clean, though the floorboards creaked a bit, which is to be expected in an older building. The bar and restaurant seemed popular with locals. We can recommend quiz night: we teamed up with a local couple and came second!
