We had a lovely breakfast, and the restaurant food is excellent value. It was cooked with care and skill, then presented beautifully. Everywhere was super clean, and our room was lovely and beautifully made up this morning. The bathroom has a generous shower area, a power shower and plenty of hot water. It's a lovely family-run hotel, and I'd highly recommend it.

I've eaten here five times now, and the food is always tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are always very pleasant as well, and the bar and dining area have a good feel to them.

We ate here on our first night, and the food was really good and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and managed to get our room ready early. We stayed two nights for a wedding nearby in a lovely, clean standard room, with a comfy bed and huge bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities and an iron were provided, and there was a good choice at breakfast. The only downside was noise from outside the pub until after closing. We couldn't hear the pub itself, and it wouldn't put me off returning now I know which rooms to avoid. 100% recommend 👌

For the four of us, it was a fantastic family night away at The Three Horseshoes, Barnard Castle. The team were fabulous and couldn't do enough to look after us, and the pub had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were beautiful and stylish, the food absolutely superb, and I had the best pint of Guinness I've had in a long time. We'll definitely be back. This is quite obviously the place to be in Barnard Castle. See you soon, Eggnog Guy.

We asked for a walk-in shower, and it was absolutely great. Breakfast was delicious, with a very wide choice, and we enjoyed having it in the cosy dining room. We stayed one night B & B for a local wedding. I called a week before arrival to ask if we could arrive early just to leave our luggage in the room. This is a very well run family hotel, which we highly recommend.
