Dawn Chorus Holidays

Fresh eggs from the chickens were a lovely touch, and the shepherd’s hut stayed warm and cosy through winter. Dawn Chorus is such a quiet countryside escape. We explored nearby villages and went as far as Southwold, then had a great dinner at The Fleece Inn. It was a comforting, memorable break, and we’d return in a heartbeat.

The kids made new friends and we came away with some lovely family memories. We enjoyed feeding the pigs leftover fruit and veg, and waking to the sheep and chickens. Our accommodation was cosy and clean, with comfortable beds and a lovely shower. The cooked breakfasts delivered to our hut were delicious, a real treat. We’ve had the best few days here. Thank you both so much.

Mum and I have come back several times. It’s a lovely place to escape the rush of everyday life and recharge. We especially enjoy the animals, particularly feeding the pigs each morning, and collecting fresh eggs. The shepherd’s huts are comfortable, with lovely bedding and wool duvets that are especially good if you have allergies. There’s plenty of room in the walk-in shower, with lots of hot water.

We booked a shepherd’s hut at the last minute and were so glad we did. Bob and Helen were welcoming and had everything ready to make us comfortable. The countryside is beautiful, with good walks and farm animals; the chickens even provide breakfast eggs. A hidden gem, and especially good for families with little ones. We can’t recommend it enough.
