The location is excellent, and the downstairs decor is very nice. Our family room was spacious and well equipped, with comfortable single beds, but the double bed was very uncomfortable. The bedroom floors still need some maintenance. I’d have given it 4 or 5 stars if breakfast were included in the room price. Having to pay extra made the value less appealing.

The Gwydyr felt like visiting long-lost family. Not many hotels make you feel so valued as a guest. The food was fantastic and worth every penny, the decor exquisite, and the rooms lovely and comfortable. The location is so desirable I can’t think of anywhere better. I enjoyed the stay so much that I decided to base my TV series here :)

Our B&B didn’t serve evening meals, so we came here for dinner. It was quiet, as the season was nearly over, but the food was excellent, especially my Sunday lunch. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The bar was comfortable and nicely decorated. Looking forward to coming back.

The buffet was varied and excellent, and the venue was beautiful. The whole evening was the best, from the welcome at the door to the goodbye. It was a large work Christmas event, and the full team of staff were efficient and excellent. These days it’s rare to find people who really know customer service. Thank you all, you should be proud.

We spent two nights here for a corporate away day and held our meetings at the hotel. The staff were excellent and friendly, the food was delicious, and the bar was well stocked. Check-in was automated, which worked well since we arrived very late.
