Best Western Hotel 99

The receptionist was so welcoming and chatty, and gave me good tips about the area and local food. Also, the beds were genuinely comfortable: one king, not two singles shoved together. The towels and linen even smelled like they’d been washed with Lenor rather than industrial conditioner. One of the better hotels I’ve stayed in.

My family had an awful stay. Staff were rude and aggressive, charged hidden fees, ignored their privacy, and even pressed them for details about their personal plans. It was a nightmare. We took the complaint to Best Western headquarters. They apologised, but said they had no control over this branch, since Best Western hotels are individually owned. I attached their reply below. The so-called “management team” is the same people at reception, and came across as completely unprofessional. You might get lucky and have an okay visit, but this place feels like a ticking time bomb. Be very careful before booking. If things go wrong, it seems there’s no real authority to hold the branch accountable. I’d tell people not to stay here.

The location is great, right in the city centre, with parking on site and the centre about 200 metres away on foot. Rooms were clean, nice and quite spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A 10 out of 10 stay for me. I’d love to come back.

We stayed for two nights in October and I can’t fault it. The price was fair, the room was spotless, and the mattress was excellent, we slept really well. The shower was amazing, fit for two lol 😂, and the towels looked brand new. We didn’t have breakfast, but there was plenty of tea and coffee. The male staff member was very, very helpful. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for us, I’d happily stay again and recommend it.
