Barrons Hotel - B&B

The kids were bitten, and I could see bedbugs walking around the beds in Room 11. I spoke to a man at the bar, Leon, I think, who said they had no more family rooms and were trying to treat the bugs. He said the hotel was closed because of them. He came across as rude and arrogant, seemed more interested in a female guest and his phone. I’ll be speaking to environmental health. Nobody should be staying there, and the staff member behind the bar needs to learn some manners.

Warning about bed bugs. My children and I stayed on [22.08.2025 ], and the room was infested. My husband and I were bitten, and staff wouldn’t give us another room. We had to leave at 3 AM and pay for a different hotel ourselves. It completely ruined our holiday. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

The food was appalling, with chicken on the bone that tasted hard and undercooked. The same cutlery was used for pork and chicken, which raises major health concerns. On arrival for our one-night stay, I checked the room and found bed bugs, hairs and stains on the bed that I believe were dried blood and human faeces. The room smelled damp, and the mattress was filthy as well as the sheets. The manager said he wouldn’t refund us and could only change the sheets. Staff were very rude, especially the man at reception, who was unwilling to sort out the problem. I don’t recommend this hotel. Save your money and time. This place needs to be shut down.

Barrons hotel was awful. The floor in Room 9 was broken, and the bathroom in Room 3 leaked. There wasn’t enough there to keep someone alive, and there was no complimentary water. The owner told me to drink tap water, which was disgusting. The room was so hot I felt like I was suffocating. There’s no AC, and the bed squeaked whenever I moved. A horrendous, horrible stay.
