We drove three hours after making a reservation online, only to be told by the owner that we had no booking. We had the confirmation and reservation number, and had also been charged £80. Being told there was no reservation or room available after that journey was disgusting. It seems like they take people's money without providing a room. I’d stay away.

I didn’t end up staying. When I got there, the guys said the hotel had changed owners and my booking hadn’t been confirmed. Now I have to contact Booking.Com to get a refund. Not happy.

The room was nice, and the staff were really helpful. There’s parking on site and a tram stop just a minute away.

Would never go back. The decor was old and run down, there was a horrible smell of putuli oil, and the hygiene wasn’t up to standard. The carpets were stained and there was no heating. Parking cost £15 a night, while the NCP car park was only £9.95 per night. There was no lobby, bar or breakfast either. I moved across the road to the the big blue hotel, which was 100 percent better. Avoid this place at all costs.

The place felt pretty run down, and the wash hand basin was badly cracked when I arrived, despite the £30 room damage deposit. Being told to check out by 10.00am on a Sunday morning was the last straw. I suppose you get what you pay for.
